Motoexotica is offering another great pick up truck that is very original. This 1949 GMC 5 Window Pickup has been sitting in a barn in Arkansas for many years, covered with a tarp. Within the last year, the truck was pulled out and given a very mild restoration. This restoration included new paint, new wood installed in the bed, new tires and a newly upholstered seat. With the exception of those things, the truck is a very original example. All body panels are said to be original for the truck and solid. The paint is newer and is good overall with only some minor scratches and dings. The front and rear bumpers both look very good with some minor dings to the front bumper as you can see in the photos. The new chrome grill looks great as well as the chrome rear bumper. The body is overall solid but does have the typical rust issues to the back of the cab that is common with these trucks. The floors are solid along with all fenders and bed. The truck does come with a sun visor painted the same color as the truck but has been installed.Inside, the seat is new and in very good condition with no splits or major spots of wear. The dash has been painted to match the interior and contains all of its original gauges which are in good original condition. The speedometer is currently not functional. Door panels are in good condition and all of the glass looks good as well. The steering wheel is original for the truck and is solid overall with only some minor cracking. Under the hood, the inline six cylinder has been painted and looks very good. The engine bay is clean with no rot or damage that we have seen. With a push of the floor starter, the truck starts right up and runs very good down the road with no problems. The painted wheels are wrapped with brand new radial tires and have mini moon Chevrolet hubcaps on them. This is a great little truck that would be fun addition for the farm, front of a business or even a start to an awesome street rod. The miles currently shows 60,243 which is believed to be original for the truck. The VIN number is A228260697 and the car is being sold on a clean Missouri title. We do have the copy of the 1981 title from Arkansas where the car was brought from.
