In the summer of 2001 this car went through an extensive rebuild costing over $5,000. Included in this rebuild was removing and reinstalling all control arms, replace all A frame bushings and all ball joints. When they reinstalled the rebuilt A frames they installed them with new springs and shocks. All A frames were thoroughly stripped down of all old undercoating and grease and then painted with rubberized undercoating. Also done was removing and replacing the differential, removing all old brake parts in the rear and thoroughly sanding and lubricating backing plates. New wheel cylinders were also installed in the rear along with brake shoes, all hardware, brake lines and both rear emergency cables. In the front all brake components were removed along with front backing plates. The backing plates were installed and welded in the shoe contact area and resurfaced. New wheel cylinders were installed along with new flex hoses, springs and hardware. New bearings, seals, studs and lugs were also installed.
