1965 Ford Mustang

Well, no sooner that I opened your email, the Mustang arrived! Thank you so much for all your help!!! I have to tell you that I did a lot of research over the past few months, and having never searched to purchase a car unseen, I was sort of mortified. That, coupled with some (not many, but a couple) not so happy reviews of your company by disgruntled buyers, but there are always a few – and what was impressive was that, in each case, someone from Moto replied with more detail about what they actually tried to do and did do to satisfy the unhappy customer. For my part, I’ve never enjoyed a purchasing process more than with all of you! From Mark (we came to an agreement on price in about 4 seconds, no exaggeration) to you and Chris, I just couldn’t be happier with what was represented and what arrived in front of my house. So if you would, please extend my sincere thanks to everyone, especially you, for doing the least-fun part of a car transaction, and let the owner know how much I appreciate the terrific staff, and that you all deserve 20% raises!

The car arrived in good shape Friday evening, 12-4-15.   I must say the delivery service you used was well above standard.  Over the years I have had five carsshipped in and Lynn Schreiber’s service, from Confident Cargo USA,  was exceptional.  From having the car covered, to the drivers seat covered, and changing clothsbefore driving the car from the enclosed trailer, plus calling several times to give progress and hitting his arrival time within minutes.  That is service I have notexperienced in previous deliveries.  You made a good choice.

Thank you for making this purchase and delivery smooth and uneventful.

Just wanted to let you know that I am loving my Bucket T and that I have won 3 trophies in the first 4 cruise ins/shows.  It is really a nice build.  Thanks for making the buying experience so easy and selling me the Bucket at a really fair price.  Please let me know if you get a 56 Chevy…….it is my next toy.  I want a nicely restored, hot rod type 56.  Let me know if you get something in.

Thanks again.

I would just like to thank you for all your help regarding the recent purchase of my Hudson Wasp. Purhasing a near 70 year old car is a daunting experience especially when it is sight unseen.

I feel the car is better than you described it had no hesitation for me to arrange an independant inspection and made allowances to work around the inspector.

You are a true gentleman and I thank you for your exemplary service.

The car is now happily residing in Australia.

Hello Scott,

I received the Riviera today and it was as nice as you told me. The extra set of rims, tires and hub caps looked nice. No bad surprices. I drove 40 miles with an warning alarm at 70 dcb. I could not find out what was wrong before I was half a mile from home. It was a special speed alert so you will be warned when passing a set speed. It was set on 20 miles p/hour. Well, thanks for doing business with you and don`t be surprised if I come back for another vehicle later on.

Scott,

I got the insurance and I GOT THE CAR!!!! (64 Buick LeSabre Wagon) The young man brought it to me and then drove it to the house. I will just look at this beautiful creation for awhile and then get up nerve to drive it. I just couldn’t believe that car when it drove past me, on the carrier. Fantastic. Well worth the money, even if it did not drive at all, but it does move, so well. Two men stopped the transport driver while he unloaded the car–apparently, people tried to buy it all the way here. I’m going outside and look at it some more. A thousand thanks!

Hi Joe,

I just left you a message on your mobile. Letting you know how extremely happy I am with the car, the service and your professionalism throughout the whole process. The car is everything you said it was and drives perfectly and more importantly looks sensational…. in real life! I am very happy and would like to use this testimonial for you and your company. You made the whole process enjoyable and easy, especially with the direct shipping. Loved that! Brilliant work and just letting you know how very happy I am, and especially repairing the gear box just before shipping. That was the best – the fact you completed tested the car before shipping… just brilliant and upstanding! Many, many thanks!

Dear Joseph,

Believe it or not, the Corvair finally after a big journey for about four month did arrive at my home in Germany. I really like the car, it looks good and the engine sounds fantastic. Do you know something about the history of the car, who did restore the car? Did you some work on it, or did you get it like it is? Please let me know some more about it. I has now a good place in my collection of Porsches and did find a place next to my 1950 Studebaker Starlight Coupe. Thank you for any information. Best Regards!

2004 Infinity G35

I just purchased a G35 that was on consignment at MotoExotica.  I worked predominantly with Kevin Grubbs on the purchase, however everyone was super nice and helpful.  Kevin kept on top of things very well as both the seller and myself were out of town over a period of a couple weeks during the sales process.  I placed a bid on the car, which was ultimately accepted.  I picked up the car over a lunch hour with the process taking about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.  Very simple transaction handled very professionally.

Scott,

I know you are busy but just a note. I bought an 86 Porsche from you last December. I am having a great time with this great car. I just got it back from Dr. Vinyl and they did a wonderful job with the dash. I know that you are the guy I will be buying my next hotrod from because you really helped me with this one.

Saw this video several months back and as it turns out, just purchased the car. MotoeXotica is a great place to buy a Classic Car. Their sales rep (Kevin) was professional and made sure I had a great experience. Their mechanic (Jeff) addressed a few issues with the car before I made the 11 hour trip back home (changed oil/filter, volt meter wired always on, lose tach wire, reset carb floats, reset timing). I live in the south so it’s mid December and I’m still enjoying ‘top down’ cruising (today’s temp 78degrees 

1959 Cadillac Ambulance

Hi Scott,

This is just to let you know that I collected the Cadillac (59 CADDY AMBULANCE!) yesterday morning, drove it 70 miles home including sitting in a traffic jam for an hour – the car ran perfectly and looks better than I could ever have imagined. For some reason, lots of people looked at us when we were driving home – can’t imagine why!! I’ve attached a picture of it sitting outside our house with my everyday car (a Mini) parked behind it. Thanks again for a very painless transaction and I look forward to doing business with you again.

Hello Debbie and Scott,

Just to say you that the (63 CHEVY) arrived well and save and indeed it is beautiful. I’ve allready done all the necessary check for Technical roadavailable control. All bodywork, chassis and paintwork are fantastic; Mechanically; rear end , transmission and brakes had to greased and added with oil, everything was dry!! and the engine had to be tuned but now it’s ok. And now I’m looking to put a longer rear end to drive Highways it’s better, first gear is so short I never use. I hope to get it on the road in the next week.

Giving you an update. You know about the car being towed for no tag. Thanks for going out of your way to help when you didn’t have to. Tell your office manager that I appreciate her help. By the way what is her name. on Sunday we were in TN and stopped for lunch at a Wendy’s. When we came out the battery was dead. When I checked the date it was 71/2 years old. I called AAA and got a jump. He was really a great guy. I went to NTB and got a new battery. They were very helpful. Late Sunday we were past Knoxville and closing in on Ashville. I stopped for gas and checked the air shocks and the air was low. It was getting late so we checked into a motel and check out the shocks in the morning. Monday morning I found a “good ‘ole boy” that can fix anything. Air shocks are special order so he couldn’t get new ones. He said you what I’d do? I’d put fix a flat in it, pump it up and drive on home. I did and everything was fine. The traffic was terrible and was the worst part of the trip. The car ran great. I drove 65-70 all the way. It was a pretty cool trip. We call ourselves Clark and Ellen Griswold. I don’t regret deciding to drive it home but I can say we were lucky that we had a great car and wonderful people that went above and beyond to help. I would say to others if you’re willing to take the risk of driving the car home and take any bad situations all in stride without getting upset when things don’t go right then go for it. The things that happened to us were minor problems and easy to fix. Major problems might be harder to take in stride.  You said if we wanted an adventure we may want to try to drive home. The couple of bad things were more than offset by the good people who went out of their way to help.

Thank you for everything. I love the car and it’s a real eye catcher.

Tom Moyer (aka Clark Griswold)

Hi Brittany and Kevin,

Well we finally got the car last week, much latter than we first expected but that’s all part of the learning curve and we now know that perhaps we didn’t choose the best shipping agent. Unfortunately the car was held in LA as the shipper didn’t have clear title on the other car that was going in the container with ours, so we waited two months for that to be sorted out. Then Customs in Australia delayed it for a week because of mud and seeds caught up in the rear springs, whether they were just flexing their muscle or there really was, we will never know. However by far the most disappointing part was the agent was an extremely poor communicator and we had to continuously pester him before he would send an update, unlike you guys who were always very responsive. Most importantly though the car has arrived in one piece and it was as described so we are very happy. I attached a proof of life photo from Albury in New South Wales on its way to Melbourne. The car is now enjoying some of what an Australian summer has to offer, perhaps the warmest it has ever seen, as it was in Sydney when they had a few days around 110F.We have been corresponding with the previous owner who has been very helpful to understand the condition of the car, the work previously done and the back story around why the car was sold back to the St Louis Museum. According to him the car was taken back because the condition of the car was misrepresented to him at the time of purchase, while he didn’t get his $20K worth of repairs back the museum bought it from him for the original purchase he paid. Of course this is only one side of the story and truth may, and quite often does, lay somewhere in between but according to him the straw that finally broke him was the diagnosis that the camshaft is damaged and that it was going to cost him $6,000 to have the engine stripped down and have it repaired. Being early days we are still trying to get the car settled in but it is starting easily so that’s a good sign and once we’ve serviced the basics and getting it registered for the road we’ll try to see if there is any credence to the findings on the camshaft. But I must say once again thank you both for making this long distance transaction possible and for all the help along the way with our requests. In the meantime we’ll keep an eye on your website for perhaps another Cadillac a little earlier or an early teens Buick as these would be on my bucket list to own. You never know we might be talking again.By the way I was impressed with the professionalism of Curves Ahead if you ever are looking for a carrier in the US as they were particular good to deal with, it was only once it left their hands that things went awry. All the best for 2017Regards

Neil

1964 Olds 98 Holiday

Hi Dan,

Just to let you know we made it to Santa Monica last Thursday night in the Olds. (64 Olds 98 Holiday) via Route ’66, as scheduled, some 2100 miles over 9 days. Only drama we had was battery was dead following morning after collecting car from you, unbeknownst to me at the time ,I had left key in auxiliary position over night. I had local garage install new battery & replace 3 head lamps & replace/fix indicator lamps. Plugs did need replacing also. I am very happy with the Olds., lots of admiring looks on the road, particularly from Mexicans & Old people! Car is at Long beach now ready for shipping to New Zealand. Will keep & eye on your web site for future purchases.
