Description

If you are looking at a vintage, custom bodied, show winning Corvette, you have found it. This 1969 Chevy Corvette was originally a 427/435 horsepower car that was transformed in the early 70's. The car won second place in the 1976 Detroit Autorama, barely being beaten out by Robert Sweatt's 1923 Ford, "El Toro" for the Ridler Award. The car was featured also in the July 1976 issue of "Hot Rodding" magazine. During the transformation of this car, 6" was taken off the back and 4" were added to the front. A 350 Cu In V8, LT1 was also added. The sound of the motor coming out of the Hooker side pipes is guaranteed to get the attention of everyone on the block (and the subdivision!) The current miles show 52,389 which the previous owner states is original for the car. The car retains the original paint from when the restoration took place. It is showing its age and is not perfect, but looks very presentable. There are a few spider cracks and nicks to the body. No major cracking of the fiberglass. The custom pin striping is still in good condition and was done very well. During the restoration custom flares were added as well as larger gills on the sides of the car. The T-Tops still go off and on with no problems and show no major leaks.
