This the rarest of the Corvette Pace Cars, this beautiful, extremely dry California car is a Certified Member of the 1995 Corvette Pace Car Registry, #411! The car resided with the same California owner from 1997(19 years)! While 1995 would be the tenth time Chevrolet paced the Indianapolis 500 mile race, it marked just the third time for Chevys premier sports car, Corvette. And like the 1978 T-top coupe and the 1986 convertible before it, the 1995 Corvette Pace Car Convertible created quite a stir. Unlike the two previous Corvette pace car replicas, 1995s version were limited to just 527 units making it the rarest model that year. Produced at Bowling Green during March and April, slightly more than 400 were allocated for retail sale, one each, to top selling Corvette dealers from 1994.General Motors Vice President & Chevrolet General Manager Jim Perkins drove the pace car during the 79th edition of the Greatest Spectacle in Sports on May 28, 1995. Finished in a two-tone Deep Dark Purple Metallic over Artic White. This car's paint is particularly nice, showing a deep shine shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Pace Car decals (with spare NOS set still in GM boxes included!) are in very good condition, including the door decals, which are typically missing on these cars. Convertible top is in very good to excellent condition, with no rips, tears, or thin spots. All the trim is present, complete and displays normal wear. The front and rear bumpers fit is extremely tight and finish is exquisite. The weather-stripping and window sweeps are still soft and pliable, with little or no signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. The car has a slight window tinting that compliments and completes the "sport" appearance. The white convertible top with the rear window is in excellent condition. The original 16-inch wheels present well with only slight signs of marring. The interior of this 1995 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Convertible is rich black leather front bucket seats with purple inserts and Indy Headrest logo show only slight wear spots visible. The matching black door panels, carpet and dashboard compliment the Dark purple & white exterior of the car. Additions to this car include an ashtray plaque, plastic tray style floor protectors, and clear door sill plates with the "Corvette" script All gauges are ergonomically placed, have correct appearance and function as originally designed. The originally equipped leather steering wheel is in excellent condition and functions as designed. The heater and air conditioning and Bose Gold CD/Cassette stereo function as designed.
