TheChevrolet Corvette (C3)is a sports carthat was produced by Chevrolet1968 through 1982. The C3 is the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette. 1973 started Corvette's transformation from muscle to touring sports car. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: "We gave it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a "nose job". Indeed, redesigned body mounts and radial tires did improve Corvette's ride, and interior sound levels. The chrome rear bumper was essentially carried over from the previous year. However, the chrome blade front bumper was dropped for a light-weight front bumper system with a injection-molded urethane bumper cover. Re-sprayed in the original color Elkhart Green metallic (Code 947), the professional quality paint job with only shows minor imperfections visible upon close inspection still shows extremely well even today. This rare original still sports it's factory "Beauty Stripes" rare for a model of this heritage . The chrome split rear bumpers have an excellent fit and finish that show brilliantly. The front bumper cover fits well only a few minor imperfections. All trim pieces are present and have a brilliant finish with no dents. The weather stripping is still very pliable, with little or no drying, tearing or shrinkage Paint and body are exceptional with little visible evidence of stress or damage that we could find. Inside, the gorgeous rich Medium Saddle Tan (Code 415) vinyl seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible. Excellent matching carpet throughout the interior. Overall the genuine original gauges looks great and compliments the crack-free tan dash. The door panels are matched perfectly the exterior of the car and show very little wear. The tan convertible top has a excellent fit and finish, clear back window, compliments the rest of the cabin and completes the theme. The original steering wheel is in very good condition and leather wrapped, fuel gauge and Delco AM/FM radio (inoperable) with rear mounted "Sparkomatic" rear speakers and factory Astro-Ventilation. This nicely represented Corvette is equipped with Rochester 4 barrel carburetor on top of a 350 cid L-48 engine, Hyrda-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission ,power steering, power disc brakes, 15 inch original equipment "Rally" steel wheels with highly polished beauty rings, matching Chevrolet motors center caps, wrapped in "raised white" Indy Firehawk tires.
