2005 Dodge Magnum Kustom Wagon

This one is for the extroverts. If you're after a classic car that looks ordinary or is a sleeper, avoid this one. If you don't want to be the center of attention where you go, especially at car shows and cruise nights, look at our other vehicles. This is no ordinary Dodge Magnum Wagon. Designed and custom-built by the King of Kustomizers, George Barris, this car has four vertical, “scissor-type” doors, a full-top canvas power sunroof, four-way air-lift suspension system, tinted windows and more. This one of a kind customs has only traveled 25xxx miles from new and used sparingly.

Built at Daimler-Chrysler's factory in Brampton, Ontario, Canada in February 2005, this wagon now wears a stunning combination of silver and yellow paint. The paint and trim, including pinstriping and kustom-painted, slotted taillights, are in overall excellent order. Chip on the front fender where lip was tucked under. The front grille is a kustom V-design with chrome-plated slatted bars. The bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is extremely tidy and the body-colored bumpers fit tightly to the body. The cargo area is in overall very good order.

This kustom wagon rolls on low-profile radials, size 245/30ZR22 in front and 275/25ZR24 in back. Each one is mounted onto a kustom, chrome wheel, etched and painted with Barris' name. The tires are in very good order while the wheels look excellent.

Under the hood is the original 3.5L SOHC V-6 engine with sequential multi-port fuel injection (code EGJ) the wagon came with from the factory but it breathes via an aftermarket air intake. Backing this motor is the original four-speed automatic transmission (code 42RLE). Driver convenience features include air-conditioning, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, power locks, foglights, rear wiper and washer and power sideview mirrors.

Inside, the kustomization continues. The unique, gold and black suede front buckets and rear bench are in contrast to the rest of the car's gray interior. The seats and black carpeting are all in very good shape, as is the gold and gray headliner. The factory four-spoke steering wheel faces the driver and the black-over-gray dash and gray inner door panels are all in similar shape. A gated shifter is in the center console and a factory AM/FM stereo with a CD player completes the interior.

Documentation includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Barris Kustom Industries, dated September 29, 2009. This Magnum was featured with actor Joe Mantegna in a 2009 Barris television pilot filmed by Chief 33 Productions and it was also featured in a photo shoot with Taboo of the music group, The Black-Eyed Peas.
