According to the previous owner, this handsomeModel T coupe is the recipient of an exceptionally well-executed restoration with original presentation as the main focus. TheFord Model Tis an automobile that was produced by Ford Motor Company from October 1, 1908, to May 26, 1927. The Ford Model T was named the most influential car of the 20th century in the 1999 Car of the Century competition, ahead of the BMC Mini, Citroen DS and the Volkswagen Type 1. The Model T had a front-mounted 177-cubic-inch inline four-cylinderengine, producing 20hp. According to Ford Motor Company the engine was capable of running on gasoline, kerosene or ethanol.The Model T was a rear wheel drive vehicle. Its transmissionwas a planetary gear type billed as "three speed". In today's terms it would be considered a two-speed, because one of the three speeds was reverse. Model T suspension employed a transversely mounted semi-elliptical spring for each of the front and rear beam axles which allowed a great deal of wheel movement to cope with the dirt roads of the time. The front axle wasdrop forged as a single piece of steel. Wheels were wooden artillery wheels. Tires were pneumatic clincher type, 30 in diameter with slightly staggered widths. Although Ford classified the Model T with a single letter designation throughout its entire life, and made no distinction by model years, there were enough significant changes to the body over the production life that the car can be classified into five distinct generations. This particular model is a T-4, The taper of the hood was increased and the rear section at the firewall is about an inch taller and several inches wider than the previous design. During a thorough, no excuses build starting with the body, the metal was stripped, properly prepared, then painted in black, the only color available on the T. Inside, the seats are finished in a warm medium brown cloth and present extremely well. The door panel mirrors the same rich brown finish as the seats. These Model Ts are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well kept condition. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
