The1955 Dodgelineup, consisting of the entry-levelCoronet, Royal and ornate Custom Royal was a major departure for the company. The Dodge lineup was marketedas the mainstream line in Chrysler's hierarchy, between Plymouth and Desoto. The 1955 Dodge was all-new with a longer 120in (3048mm) wheelbase and 212.1in (5387mm) overall length than the 1954 cars.
