Thefirst-generation Ford Mustangwas manufactured by Fordfrom April 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the "Pony Car". The Mustangs styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of imitators. It was initially introduced as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale the following year. Over the years it has become the favorite subject of many custom car builders and racers. This nicely presented Mustang features a 400 hp 429 cu Ford crate motor rebuilt with a 460 crank, matted to a new C-6 automatic transmission. Engine is topped off with Dove high performance heads, Ford Racing polished valve covers, and new full length HPC coated headers.
