This is the true classic motor sport enthusiast's car! With legends like Sterling Moss and Jack Brabham campaigning these Series II cars successfully in SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) in the early sixties, the Alpine highlights a perfect little chapter from the history of one of Britain's all-time greats. Finished in code correct (39) Carnival Red over a nicely presented black interior, this classic British roadster shows well over all boasting a well kept older restoration withonlyminor signs of age visible upon close inspection. Chrome and bright work is complete and in good condition, a nice compliment to the elegant styling of the car. Paint and body both present well with no indications of major repair work visible. Inside, the black bucket seats and rear cargo department and all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels are also in good condition as is the padded upholstered dash, and carpet. Interior also features silver painted instrument panel housing a complete set of Jaeger gauges, and roll up windows with newer convertible top. Note: top is in good condition but does not stow as with most Alpines, it does retract and sit behind the seats. This Series II Alpine is powered by a correct1.6L OHV inline-four cylinder engine with dual Zenith carburetors, 4-2-1 header and exhaust system,4-speed manual transmission, as well asfront independent suspension, coil springs, anti-roll bar, front disc brakes and more. Overall this Alpine is a nice fully functional driver quality example that can be shown with pride but also can be driven regularly without worry. For the driving enthusiast looking for a fun, uncommon and inexpensive British roadster, this Alpine delivers all the look and vibe of its much more expensive big brother the Tiger. Series II Alpines are still undervalued in the market, arebecoming increasinglymore difficult to find and sure to become more valuable in years to come...GET OUT AND DRIVE!
