This is a truly fifties icon classic that has resided with the Naperville Jeep dealership collection for the last 16 years. It is complete with rare rear air conditioning and is 1 of 2550 ever produced. Finished in a dramatic paint scheme, the deep rich glossy black paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and compliment the body. Priced new at around $10,000, this was to date the most expensive American car built as was equivalent to the cost of a Rolls Royce or two Cadillacs! The Continental Mark II was revived in late 1955 and was essentially a Lincoln but isin fact a separate marque produced by a separate division of Ford Motor Company, with its sole offering being the Mark II. This completely new carwas a unique design with the highest quality control ever seen in the automobile industry. High-class luxury abounded in the new Continental, and with very limited availability, it appeared even more exclusive than the original. This car was so exclusive, even celebrities like Sinatra, Elvis and even Eisenhower had to follow protocol from Ford to qualify for ownership.
