Description

1958 Studebaker Silver Hawk Coupe The Studebaker Corporation released their infamous Hawk model line from 1956 until the companies financial situation came to a climax in 1959. Initially there were four series in the Hawk line; the Flight Hawk, Power Hawk, Sky Hawk, and Golden Hawk. The Silver Hawk was not produced with the other four models for the first year of production; however Studebaker wanted to attempt to remedy their financial situation by consolidate the Power Hawk and Flight Hawk into the Silver Hawk. This model filled the gap between the Sky Hawk and the lavishly equipped Golden Hawk. There was less chrome, no supercharger, and fewer amenities. The Silver Hawk we are offering is an excellent example of a mildly upgraded and restored Hawk. From the factory these cars all had a two-tone paint scheme, obviously this is not the case for this particular car. It was been repainted in a base-clear deep navy which presents wellwith the bright chrome trim. Overall the paint and body is in great condition, minor imperfections are only found under critical examination. The interior is very clean, with navy and white vinyl seats that are in great condition; many of the trademark art deco trim pieces have been left in place and look good.
