1957 DeSoto Firesweep Shopper Wagon MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition, a low mileage rarely seen 1957 Desoto Firesweep Shopper Wagon. The Desoto Firesweep was produced by the Chrysler Corporation; sold under the Desoto name from 1957 until their demise. Desoto distinguished their brand from their mother company Chrysler with design features such as their signature tailfins; the front clip was based on the Dodge Coronet and the rest was mostly true to Desoto. The most telling feature was the headlight design, housed under heavily chromed lids typical of Desoto. A Firesweep could seat six passengers and was available as a four-door sedan, five-door station wagon, two-door coup, and two-door convertible. There were two station-wagon options the Explorer and Shopper, which the only difference between the two are third row seating option and an extra dome light for the third row passengers. This 1957 Shopper Wagon is in a rare highly preserved condition, the previous owner was a fantastic steward for the car with only 52,552 miles. They preserved the original black and gold factory interior by leaving the long time plastic covers intactresulting in an original interior that has to be seen to be believed... the new owner can have the privileged of removing these covers if desired. The paint is a lovely two tone of Samoa Green and Frosty White which accentuates the signature lines of this superb Desoto wagon. All of the exterior bright works, such as the signature hood over the headlights are in great condition with only minor imperfections. The owners have kept the original owners manual and service manual too.
