Motoexotica is pleased to offer this hard to find 1967 BMW 2000 Neue Klasse Sedan. If you ever come across the opportunity to own one of BMW's Neue Klasse (New Class) cars, you need to seize it. Even 50 years after they first debuted, they're just as good as you've heard, if not better! We at Mototexotica have always had a love for these cars. We love their timeless good looks, their glorious motorsports history, we admire the way they effectively put BMW on the map, and we love how they inspired a slew of imitators and entire genre of cars that continues to this day. We are very proud to offer this gorgeous and rare BMW 1967 2000 Sedan for sale! If you're somehow unfamiliar with the New Class, let us fill you in. The line began in the early 1960s with the 1.5-liter 1500. Various versions of the car were made until the late 70s, most famously the more powerful two-door 2002. The New Class cars are essentially what took BMW from being a small regional manufacturer in Germany to the luxury and sporting powerhouse that they are today. Their engines were small in size, but they put out respectable power for their day and the cars that had them were quite compact. They were stylish, practical, extremely fun to drive, immensely popular among car buyers and received rave reviews by the automotive press. They're the forerunner to the 3- and 5-Series BMWs, and arguably the progenitor of the modern small sport sedan as we understand it today. The 1967 2000 Sedan is a fantastic-looking car. Back when the Americans were cranking out massive land yachts with tail fins, the Germans put out this classy and compact design. It's clean, understated and simple, yet, very eye-catching to this day. We love the Hoffmeister kink in the window. And we even dare say that the BMW kidney grille has never looked better than on this car. The 2000 sedan has been resprayed with its original color of Verona Red sometime recently and the exterior trim and brightwork appear excellent. The paint shows very well with only some very minor scuffs on the rear trunk lid. The exterior is finished off with the correct BMW caps on 195/70R/14 tires. The interior on the car looks terrific, and that is important because reproductions and Neue Klasse parts cars are not nearly as plentiful as 2002s. Missing wood, trim, and gauges on an NK can get very expensive to make correctly, and this one is still fully equipped with its original interior bits. The interior seats and door cards have been reupholstered recently with correct materials and the interior overall looks great! Under the hood is the legendary BMW 2.0 m10 SOHC Inline Four Engine that still retains its original Solux carburetor. The original 3-speed automatic has been swapped in for a 4-speed manual from a later 70-76 BMW 2002. Please note that we have found the horn and wipers are currently inoperable. The factory Behr Air Conditioner is complete but currently inoperable as the compressor does not engage. The blower motor and switch do operate at the moment. The current mileage shows 20,359 miles and not believed to be actual. The VIN number is 1210127 and is being sold on a clear and clean title.
