Two Owner Car Same Owner Since 1986 29 Years Dry Texas Car Rarely Seen Excalibur III Custom Bright Red Leather Interior Massive 454ci V8 Powerplant Automatic Transmission with Overdrive Power Steering, Air Conditioning Power 4-Wheel Disc Brakes Crager Star Wire Wheels & White Walls MotoeXotica Classic Cars is proud to present this extremely rarely seen, two owner 1977 Excalibur III Phaeton. This superb phaetoncomes to us from the dry state of Texas with a powerful V8 454 big block power plant. Noted industrial designer Brooks Stevens has given us a number of interesting cars over the years, none more exciting than his own Excalibur. The first were actually a series of race and ride roadsters that have developed into this magnificent 1977 III you are looking at today. This rare roadster has a big 454 cubic inch power plant all built on a 77 Corvette chassis with an automatic transmission that shifts as smooth as silk. This car has plenty of power at the tip of your toes. It rides like a Cadillac with the power and handling of a Corvette: this is truly the best of both worlds where luxury and muscle finally meet. The exterior is a midnight blue paint that shines and is accented with red pinstriping. The paint on this car is in great shape, showing only minor imperfections. All of the chrome is in great shape with a good sparkle to it and there is plenty of chrome to look at on this one. This particular Excalibur has a removable trunk and a soft top, both of which are in great condition. This top is fully removable and comes complete with a top boot, full tonneau cover, full weather side curtains and a cover for the trunk in the rear. This awesome Phaeton has numerous configurations and does them all well. The correct interior is finished in bright red leatherette that is soft and in great condition, no rips or tears or signs of major wear on either front bucket seat or the rear bench seat. It should be noted that the horn is currently inoperable. The dashboard shows no signs of cracking or fading while housing a set of black face VDO gauges and a Jensen AM/FM/Cassette stereo. Under the hood, youll find a massive 454 cubic inch big block Chevy engine that is mated to an automatic Turbo 400 transmission that is shifted through the floor. The iconic exhaust pipes coming out either side of the hood are completely functional and allow the big motor to breathe freely. This Excalibur has power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes and air conditioning. The car sits upon a set of Crager Tru-Spoke Star Wire wheels wrapped snug in white wall tires that look great. The dual side mounts also have two wire wheels and tires. Included with the purchase of this Excalibur is the original Owners Manual as well as a small stack of receipts, totaling about $7,500 for maintenance and repairs over the past 29 years. This is a neat roadster that is seldom seen on the streets. It would make an excellent addition to just about any collection or would make a fun and unique driver! The VIN is 776790 and the mileage currently shows 50,024, which is believed to be actual. It is being sold on a clean and clear Texas title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!!
