The 1958 Cameo is a rare production vehicle, especially as it was the final year of production Only 1,405 were built in 1958! The handsome pickup has been restored to its original glory! The Cameo we have in our showroom is finished in the rarely seen color combination of Dawn Blue and Jet Black. The paint is in great condition and only shows some minor imperfections such as chips and a small imperfection on the passenger side of the tailgate at the top. The body is ultra solid, as it is a true Texas truck. The bed is finished with the correct wood bed and it looks awesome. Inside, the interior both compliments and contrasts the exterior paint with a completely correct interior. The cabin is finished in silver with an accenting silver vinyl bench seat with black textured cloth. The seat is in fantastic condition, as are both door panels. The dashboard is correct and houses the original gauges and an original AM radio. Lots of light is let into the truck by means of the massive rear, bubble window. This is a seriously handsome truck! The truck is powered by a recently rebuilt 283 cubic inch V8 motor. There are less than 100 miles on the engine since it has been completely rebuilt as stated by the previous owner. The engine sits in a HIGHLY detailed engine bay it appears that even the engine bay was properly prepped and even wet sanded before it was painted. It is a serious show stopper. Mated to the V8 is a 4-speed Hydramatic Automatic transmission, which was just serviced. All of the fluids in the truck have been flushed and refilled with new fluids. The brakes have also recently been replaced and stop properly, so states the previous owner. The truck sits upon a set of correct 15 steel wheels that have been painted red with the correct, chrome Chevrolet hub caps. The wheels are wrapped with the correct 6.70-15 white wall tires. The wheels and tires really complete the look of this last year Cameo. This rarely seen 58 Cameo will make an excellent classic truck for just about anyone and its life in the dry state of Texas has really served it well.
