1966 Jaguar Mark X Certified Heritage Trust Jaguar Rare 4.2L straight-6 with 265hp 55,976 original Texas miles Rare Registered Artic-Kar A/C New weather stripping* Freshly rebuilt SU carburetors MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest offering, a beautiful 1966 Jaguar Mark X or Mark Ten for most Americans. The Mark X was Jaguars first real attempt to enter the domestic market; it was specifically designed for the American market and it unique needs. This was Jaguars top or the range model, as well as, their biggest vehicle made until the XJ. Production lasted from 1961 until 1970; with only 5,680 units produced of this specific model of Mark X ever being made. Jaguar was way ahead of almost every American car manufacture during this era; in standard equipment, technology, and over all sophistication in design. As standard every Mark X came with independent rear-suspension, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Borg Warner automatic transmission with overdrive, power variable ratio steering, and finally Thorton Powr-Lok limited slip rear differential. With the original owner living in Texas, this stunning Mark X Jaguar remains in ideal condition. In bright white paint this Jaguar presents itself very well, with only minor defects from normal road wear. The chrome pieces found on exterior and interior are in ideal condition, with only very minor signs of age. Still retaining the original leather it shows the true quality of Jaguars interior materials. As with any leather products that have seen the Texas sun, there are wear marks along with minor discoloration. Despite that they are in great shape internally, the foam and frames still support the passengers as they did when the car was originally purchased. Rare Artic-Kar factory air-conditioning was equipped in this car, a must have while driving in the heat of Texas. All of the original gauges work, along with every electronic switch and light. Complementing the rest of the interior the heavy use standard woodwork is in excellent condition, only minor color fade in some trim pieces. All four picnic tables work perfectly and no signs of any use. New weather stripping provides a water-tight seal on all four doors, preventing premature deterioration of the interior and door panels. With freshly rebuilt SU carburetors the strong 4.2L straight 6 engine starts and runs extremely well, could easily be driving on a daily basis.
