Older Restoration! RARE Factory Right Hand Driver! Gorgeous Black Exterior! Beautiful Interior! 282ci Inline 8 Cylinder! Same Owner for Last 10 Years! MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer yet another wonderful (and rarely seen!) Packard - the 1940 Packard 120 Sedan you see pictured. It comes out of a prestigious Packard collection and was meticulously cared for and stored. See our other auctions for three additional stately Packards for sale. This is an attractive example of the 120, a four door Touring sedan finished in gleaming black. This example is filled with wonderful styling cues that speak directly to the Art Deco designs of the day. The dashboard carries the classically styled lettering that the 1940s were known for and is simply beautiful. Fine stitching and firmly bolstered seats are both beautiful and comfortable. This Packard is also most unique as it is a right-hand drive car and reliability is never in doubt with Packard's eight cylinder power. Finished in handsome black lacquer, the paint appears to be from an older repaint and the car is in wonderful condition throughout. The paint is in beautiful condition throughout, showing only minor imperfections such as very small chips and cracks on the front end, most notably on the driver's side front fender and along the hinges, but it still shows very well. The body has been accented by a small red pinstripe around the exterior of the car. The body is stunning and also has factory running boards. Both front and rear bumpers are in very good condition and do appear to be original for the car. The rest of the stainless trim looks very good and shows no damage. Both the front and rear windows are split windshields that look excellent. On the exterior, its long and beautiful lines are nicely accented by enclosed side-mounted spare tires on each side. On the rear, a folding trunk rack offers plenty of carrying capacity on long tours. Inside, the interior has been reupholstered in the correct color and material and looks very good. Both the front and rear bench seats are beautifully upholstered and show no major signs of wear or tear. The carpet, door panels and kick panels are all in great condition with only very minimal wear, if any, showing. The dashboard is finished in a faux wood panel and houses a set of original, period correct gauges that look absolutely smashing. There is a gorgeous clock also in the dashboard. As mentioned, this is a rarely seen, factory right hand drive Packard and it looks awesome! It is not known how many right hand examples were produced by the factory and can only assume that it was special ordered at considerable expense. This is a perfect car for the UK, Australia, Japan or right here in the good ole' USA! This is truly an incredible mid WWII time-piece! Under the hood, the big, 282 cubic inch inline 8 cylinder runs extremely smooth, as theyre all known for. Connected to the three speed manual transmission, the car is a joy to drive. The transmission is shifted smoothly through the column The engine compartment is clean and nicely detailed. The Packard sits upon a set of 16" black painted steel wheels with Packard hub caps and beauty rings. The wheels are wrapped in 6.50-16 gum dipped, classic Firestone wide white walls that look absolutely stunning! As mentioned before, there are dual enclosed side mounted spares that look wonderful as well. This Packard is a stunning example of the craftsmanship offered by Packard and would make a wonderful addition to any car collection or even as a touring sedan! The current mileage shows 10,407 and the VIN number is C530406. The car is being sold on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
