Originally intended to replace the companys iconic 911, the 928 combined the power, poise and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort and equipment of a luxury sedan to create what some Porsche executives thought would be a vehicle with wider appeal than the compact, quirky and sometimes difficult 911. Finished in a shade of off white, the paint on the 928 appears to be original and looks good. There are some minor rock chips to the front end and some scratches but overall the paint has a nice shine and luster. The body is in great shape and is very straight. There is a functional sunroof, however it is a little on the slow side. The chrome trim pieces are in great shape and have a brilliant shine still. Overall, this unique Porsche 928 shows well! Inside, the seats are in good condition. The seats are wrapped in brown leather and the drivers seat does show minor signs of wear and tear. The most major spot of wear is to the drivers side seat bolster which is not uncommon. The door panels are in good condition showing no major signs of wear. The carpets are good as well as the Porsche 928 floor mats which show no major wear. The dash does show some minor popping and cracking but it is not major or splitting apart. The dash houses an original set of gauges and an aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM/CD/USB/AUX stereo. Under the hood, youll find a 4.5L, 273 cubic inch, 16 valve V8 engine. The engine is front mounted and water cooled. Mated to the engine is an automatic transmission. The car is equipped with 4-wheel disc power brakes, power steering and air conditioning. The air conditioning is however, currently inoperable. The car sits upon a set of original 16 Porsche phone dial wheels wrapped in P225/50R16 tires that look great.
