1930 Ford Model A 5-Window Tudor

$30,900

Description

Ford's Model A remains the prototypical hot rod/street rod choice for customizers for most of the past century. It comes from a local consignor who purchased from us in 2015 and since has replaced the brakes, rear shocks, rebuilt carb, dist, fuel pump, alternator, and rebuilt the transmission.

This five-window Tudor coupe is such an example, it's been transformed from a staid two-door into a restomodded coupe. Dressed in an eye-popping yellow, it's hard to miss, even when stationary. The paint and trim are in overall excellent order. The car's all-steel bodywork is straight and solid but the factory bumpers have been removed. The older paint shows age and some visible imperfections. There are straight fenders with good panel and door alignment.

This car was built to be driven regularly and was lovingly cared for by a previous owner for more than 12 years.
This classic rolls on Mastercraft radials, size 205/60R15 in front and 235/70R15 in back. Each one is mounted on a finned alloy wheel. The wheels are in good, original order while the tires are in very good shape. Donor parts include a coilover rear suspension from a Chevrolet Camaro and a rack-and-pinion steering system from a Ford Mustang II. There is a stainless-steel fuel tank.

Under the vee'd hood is a mildly rebuilt Chevrolet 350 CID small block V-8 with an Edelbrock intake manifold and four-barrel carburetor. The V-8 breathes through a very nicely tuned dual exhaust system. Another feature is an aluminum radiator with and electric cooling fan. Backing this motor is a Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission with a Lokar floor shifter. Driver convenience features include power steering, power brakes with discs in front and a tilt steering column.

Inside, the car has been redone in dark gray which contrasts nicely with the exterior. The dark gray cloth bucket seats are in great shape, as is the matching carpet. A Grant GT four-spoke steering wheel is in excellent order, while the inner door panels and dashboard, with its full array of Auto Meter gauges are all in very good condition. A floor-mounted shifter and a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD player complete the interior. Overall, it's a very well-kept interior.

Going down the road this Model A street rod attracts a lot of attention, tracks straight, feels very solid and sounds great! The automatic transmission shifts solid, all instruments and lights are functional. Overall, a very strong performer and great driver!

If you're seeking a car to cruise in with a second person on weekends or to cruise nights, this is one to get as it will be noticed! Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to check out this street rod for yourself.
