Description

Owned by James Gamble, Inventor of Ivory Soap! 38,012 ACTUAL Miles! Stored in a Heated Garage Since 1961! ORIGINAL Interior in Beautiful Condition! 331ci V8 Engine! Automatic Transmission! MotoeXotica Classic Cars is thrilled to offer this absolutely incredibly 1954 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine. The Cadillac was purchased new in late 1953 at Thomson Brothers Cadillac in Cincinnati, Ohio by the estate of James N. Gamble. He was the owner of world famous company Proctor & Gamble and inventor of Ivory Soap. This car was used sparingly by the family and used to chauffer his daughter, Olivia. This 38,000 mile car is a totally original with an actual mileage Ohio title. This outstanding original car has been sitting in a heated garage on the Gamble estate since 1961. We purchased the car from James Gambles grandson, Louis Nippert, who received this stately limo from his mother. When the car pulled out of its long term slumber, they replaced the battery, went through the fuel and braking system, replaced all four tires and replaced the gas tank. The car runs, drives and stops as it should. The enormous body of this massive Cadillac is in awesome shape. The body lines seem to go on forever and end at the quintessential fins. The black paint appears to be mostly original and does show signs of age. There is some crazing by the deck lid, a minor scratch on the left side of the deck lid and a minor ding on the left front by the quarter panel and hood. Overall, however, the car does show very well. The chrome is in good shape overall, there are some spots where the chrome has pitted through on the rear bumper. The stainless is in great shape. The interior is colossal! The front seats hid quite a surprise from us as the original interior was protected for 60 years under two layers of seat covers, leaving the original interior in PRISTINE shape! What a surprise! The massive back seat is in comparable condition and looks great. The dashboard is in great shape and houses original gauges as well as an AM radio. There is also a clock in the back. As mentioned before, this is a mostly original car and it reflects into the interior. Under the hood, youll find the huge 331 cubic inch V8 engine, capable of up to 230 horsepower at 4400RPMs. The engine is stamped with the VIN number and is equipped with a four barrel carburetor and power steering. The limo sits upon a set of 15 steel wheels with Cadillac hub caps wrapped in P235/75R15 white stripe tires. As mentioned previously, this is a very special, very ORIGINAL Cadillac and would be an excellent addition to any collection. The VIN is 547561694 and the mileage currently shows 38,012. It is being sold on a clean and clear ACTUAL mileage Ohio title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
