This Italian exotic rolls on Bridgestone Potenza RE71 radials, size 275/40ZR17 in front and 335/35ZR17 in back. Each tire is mounted on Compomotive alloy wheels. The wheels are in good, original order while the tires are in very good order.

The engine was recently rebuilt and includes a four-bolt main Cleveland block, Pro Comp aluminum cylinder heads, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, roller rockers, Race Tec custom pistons, high-performance Howards camshaft, new ceramic-coated exhaust and new McCloud clutch with new master and slave cylinders.

Other parts include a new four-wheel Wilwood brake system, new front and rear suspension, new gauges, new air-conditioning compressor, new radiator and new fuse panel. This car comes with more than $80,000 in receipts. $16K for motor rebuild with pro competition aluminum heads, high performance Howard cam, Howard lifters, Melling oil pump, high performance bearings, Liberty push rods, Scorpion roller rockers, race tech aluminum pistons @ .060 over. Additional work includes all new clutch, master slave, new AC compressor and dryer. Very responsive, rides, drives and turns and stops like a newer car. Bew 10 qt oil pan, 780 CFM quick fuel carb.

Inside, the black sport seats are in very good order, as is the matching carpet. The headliner is in satisfactory condition. An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel frames the dashboard. A line of ancillary gauges runs vertically down the center console. Fuel gauge work intermittently. The inner door liners are also in very good order. A gated shifter resides within the console. Next to the gauges is a vertically-mounted Alpine AM/FM stereo with a cassette deck.

The De Tomaso Pantera is a mid-engine sports car produced by Italian automobile manufacturer De Tomaso from 1971 to 1992. Italian for “Panther,” the Pantera was the automaker's most popular model, with over 7,000 manufactured over its twenty-year production run. More than three quarters of the production was sold by American Lincoln-Mercury dealers from 1972 to 1975; after this agreement ended De Tomaso kept manufacturing the car in ever smaller numbers into the early 1990s.

Late in 1971, Ford began importing the Pantera for the American market to be sold through its Lincoln-Mercury dealers. The first 75 cars were simply European imports and are known for their “push-button” door handles and hand-built Carrozzeria Vignale bodies. A total of 1,007 cars reached the United States that year.

Competition to this Pantera in 1971 included AMC's AMX, Aston Martin's DBS, the Avanti II, Chevrolet's Corvette, Jaguar's V-12 2+2 and Maserati's Indy America 4700.

Whether you're a fan of Italian sports cars, any sports car or you simply like your two-seaters to stand out from others, you really should stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today and check out this Pantera.
