1934 Oldsmobile F34 Touring Coupe

SOLD

Description

If you've ever wanted a street rod as a toy or to take to cruise nights or local car shows, this may be your candidate. This one of a kind build "Rat Rod" has a look like no other with many modern up grades.

This Oldsmobile F34 Touring Coupe has been lowered and the body shows patina in its bare metal finish. The driver's side window is cracked but the car has new headlights, a new horn and a custom V-8 Lady hood ornament. Even the dual spare-tire bays in the front fenders are filled with old wire wheels.

The previous owner invested more than $15,500 invested in the build plus the cost of the car. Starting with a 350 CID Chevrolet Smallblock V-8 engine with a Cragar 671 supercharger, the engine has two, four-barrel Edelbrock carburetors, a new custom radiator, a new electric engine fan, a new intake manifold gasket, a new Holley fuel pump and three-inch exhausts. The motor is backed by a Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission with a Ford 10-bolt rear end and 3.08:1 gearing. Driver convenience features include power steering and front disc brakes.

The car was completely rewired, including a new wiring harness. Other new parts include: an Optima battery in the trunk, ignition, fuses, insulated fuel cell, filler neck and radiator hoses.

This car rolls on narrow sidewall tires mounted on alloy wheels, 18” in front and 20” in rear. The wheels are in satisfactory order and there are new front tires. There is an air-ride suspension in the front with new air ride tubes and a four-link suspension on coilovers in the back. This Olds has a Ford Mustang II front end with power rack and radius arm.

Inside, the dark brown seats are in better-than-average shape. the interior has been covered with Dynamat as a base, with new carpeting though out. The headliner is Dynamat too. A three-spoke steering wheel with a black rim is satisfactory. There are new ancillary gauges mounted beneath the dashboard. Speedo/Odo and temp gauge are inop. There are new turn signals. The dashboard and inner door panels add to the car's patina. There's a new, floor-mounted shift lever with a vintage Shure microphone top and custom spider web as whimsical feature.

This car sounds great and is a definite head turner. If you're looking for an extra vehicle for your collection or you really want to be the center of attention, buy this car. This street rod has the potential to draw crowds wherever it goes. Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to check it out for yourself.
