The car has spent most of its life back East after being sent through the Connecticut Callaway Facility - where it toured the north/eastern states as a sponsor vehicle and display vehicle for the company. This rare example, that is only one of five Supercharged Callaways produced in 1999, with this C5 only one of one produced with this Grabber Orange and black leather color combination proves it! This 1999 C5 Callaway Corvette supercharger equipped models, comes stand equipped with a intercooled Roots-style supercharger, upgraded fuel system with high flow injectors and installed Callaway PCM (powertrain control module) recalibration system. Optional equipment includes Callaway C5 "Big Hood", Callaway C5 Double D exhaust, Callaway C5 body-color injector covers, Callaway C5 door sills and Callaway C5 embroidered floor mats. Finished in a one off Grabber Orange with white racing stripes this Corvette shows extremely well. The "Big Hood" has an excellent fit and is not overbearing to the design. The front and rear body matching bumpers fit well and the finish is very good. All trim pieces are present and have a nice shadow-line finish. The headlights and taillights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracks; including the "Stage 3" badging. Inside, this Chevrolet features black leather front bucket with orange leather inserts seats that are in excellent condition. The black door panels, carpet and dashboard are a continuation of the striking interior. The custom Callaway carbon fiber kick plates are in great condition. The original air conditioning and heat works as designed. Power windows and power locks are standard. The Corvette designed steering wheel and upgraded Delco/ Bose six speaker AM/FM/CD stereo are in great condition. This Power Group 3 C5 comes equipped with a Callaway Supercharged 5.7 liter LS1 V8 engine fed by a Honker Air induction. Internals include, Callaway CPD-6 camshaft, high-ratio rocker arms and CNC-machined large-valve cylinder heads. Externals include Big-bore billet throttle body, UHC-8 ignition wire set and T304 stainless steel performance headers. Power is transferred to the wheels by a Callaway short shift, Severe-duty clutch and flywheel package, six-speed manual transmission to a limited-slip differential. The driver assist features power steering and power (ABS) brakes. Staggered 5-spoke, polished Cray aluminum wheels wearing Nitto INVO tires; the fronts are 275/35ZR-18s while the rears are 305/30ZR-19s.
