1972 Datsun 240Z MotoeXotica is proud to present our latest addition, a very original 1972 Datsun 240Z Datsun introduced their Z Models in 1969, starting an era of affordable sport GT two-door coupes whose line continues to this day with the 370Z. Sold internationally under the name 240Z and domestically as the Fairlady Z, this model is quickly becoming one of the most desirable import sports cars. These cars came standard with many advanced features that were optional on most other sports cars, for instance independent suspension and front disc brakes. Datsun priced their 240Z to compete with the European cars, but began to dominate their market with Datsuns (Nissan) growing dealer network whose prices were vastly less expensive than the European dealers. This 1972 Datsun 240Z is a nice example of the companys halo car. Repainted in a bright green with the original saddle interior, this is a great example of an early series I Datsun 240Z. The paint is in overall very good condition, with only minor road use showing. All of the body panels are straight with only minor indentations found upon closer inspection. Overall the body and paint finish is typical of what is seen on cars in a higher price bracket.
