The owner of this car purchased a newer C5 Corvette convertible, and then sent it to Advanced Automotive Technologies (AAT) in Michigan to have the replication completed. AAT specializes in replicating previous versions of sports cars around a modern sports cars body and frame. They have been designing and engineering replicas for over 40 years using full-size clay prototypes that employ fiberglass, carbon fiber, and composites. When completed each car is given a unique serial number to authenticate the new build. We are selling this amazing replica for an local gentleman who has taken extraordinary diligent care of his car and it shows. This Corvette is extremely clean with very minor signs of use on both the exterior and interior. There are no noticeable rock chips on the front fascia or scratches to be found. Using the 5th generation Corvette 50th Anniversary Edition as a starting point, this vehicle has all the performance of one of the best American sports car ever made. Powered by a 5.7L aluminum V8 that makes 350hp and 360lbs/ft. Mated to the engine is a 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic controlled gear selection. Stopping all of the horsepower are 4-wheel vented disc brakes with red painted calipers. Magnetic selective ride control, memory package, and heads-up display were including with the 50th Anniversary Edition. Once delivered to AAT, their Commemorative Edition Package was installed which included an overhaul of most of the body panels. Starting on the exterior, custom engineered and molded hood assembly, front fascia and fenders, rear fascia and fenders, headlights and turn signals, side marker lights, chrome die cast grille and bumpers, LED taillights with third high light, chrome die cast door and fender trim, high intensity backup lights, and red brake calipers were added. Finally completing the package, the interior received re-trimmed red leather seats, seatbelts, dashboard, center console, and door panels, personalized serial number plate, and cue ball shifter.
