Highly Original Packard Mechanically Restored Excellent Driver Straight 8 Cylinder Manual Transmission with Overdrive Same Owner Since 1989 - 25 Years MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to be offering another 1949 Packard Deluxe Sedan. The huge straight 8 cylinder engine under the hood has been mechanically refreshed, runs very smooth and goes down the road with no problems that we have found. The car has been owned by one of dearest clients for over 25 years who is an excellent mechanic and rebuilds all of our electrical motor, generators and such. He never had the intentions to restore the car, only to make the car operational and drivable. This car has been driven by a number of our guys here at MotoeX and they all have the same thing to say about it its an awesome driver! The former owner has given a pretty good run down of things that have been done to the Packard over the years. The car has not had any body panels that needed repairs repaired or replaced and the entire car has been primed throughout. This Packard is equipped with rear side skirts and an exterior sun visor. The windshield is a split one and some of the glass on the car is cracked. The body is in good condition and it would be a great recipient for a beautiful paint job. The chrome trim is intact and does show its age through means of pitting. This car would be an excellent candidate for a full restoration or as a father/son (or daughter!) project. The interior is highly original. The bench seats are wrapped in a tan striped cloth material. The front seat bottom has been reupholstered. The interior does show wear and tear, but that does not mean this car is not drivable by any means! The headliner was replaced. The original dashboard houses an original set of Packard gauges and an AM radio. It should be noted that the wiper motor has been rebuilt. Under the hood, youll find the powerful 288 cubic inch straight 8 cylinder engine. The engine has had its fair share of work done to bring it to the excellent running condition that it is in today. It has had a valve job, a tune up including spark plug wires, rebuilt generator, starter, carburetor and fuel pump, as well as a new exhaust system, clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Along with all of the motor and clutch work, it has also had the gas tank boiled out, the master cylinder resleeved and rebuilt, all new brake steel lines and rubber hoses, relined brake shoes, honed and rebuilt wheel cylinders and repacked wheel bearings & u-joints. The sedan sits upon a set of steel wheels with Packard hubcaps and beauty rings while wrapped snug in a set of wide white walls. This is a great Packard and a mostly original automobile. This car is ready for its next adventure and is ready to make memories with its next family. The VIN number is H205763and the mileage currently shows 66,808, which is believed to be original to the car. The car is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
