This nostalgic car is a fine example of the high level of "personal luxury" that Ford created back in 1955. We've checked the car over thoroughly and it seems mostly original! This car has been meticulously maintained over the past 57 years and it is absolutely PRISTINE!Finished in the correct and original color of Flame Red (Code V), the paint on this Thunderbird is in beautiful condition, showing no major signs of imperfection and hardly showing its age. Please note there is some checking in the paint only on the left rear quarter that we have found. The chrome is also in incredible condition with a brilliant shine. The Flame Red hard convertible top is in stunning shape and looks great. There is also a white soft top and boot behind the seat. Both are in beautiful condition and ready to be swapped at any time! The body is exceptionally sound - even down to the trunk! If you lift the fabric up in the trunk, you will see a gorgeous, ORIGINAL trunk pan. Not only did we see an incredible trunk, but the yellow Ford quality stickers are still found throughout the car as well! As you get in the Thunderbird to sit, you feel as if you've time traveled back to 1957. The interior inside is absolutely impeccable. Finished in the correct White Vinyl (Code XK), the seats have aged perfectly and show no signs of major wear anywhere. The doors and dashboard are also finished in White Vinyl with silver metal detail that looks excellent. The white vinyl headliner is in excellent condition. The plush red carpet complements the white interior and looks gorgeous. The dash houses the original Thunderbird gauges, a clock, and an AM/FM/Cassette player. It also has modern luxuries such as a power seat and power windows, which both work effortlessly! It should be noted that the blower motor and windshield washer sprayers are currently inoperative. Under the hood, you'll find the original 312 cubic inch Ford V8 with a 4 barrel carburetor, which matches the VIN code "D." The engine bay is tidy and well kempt. Attached to the engine is the correct Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, which matches the Data Plate Code 3. The Thunderbird came equipped with power brakes and power steering for a smooth driving experience. This car is a wonderful driver and starts right up every time. The car sits elegantly upon a set of Kelsey Hayes wire wheels wrapped in 7.50-14 Firestone wide whitewall tires. There is a spare in the trunk as well!This is a seriously incredible Thunderbird and we're hard pressed to say if we will ever find one this perfect ever again.
