Description

1959 Cadillac Eldorado Seville flattopThe Eldorado is a two-door personal luxury car manufactured and marketed by the Cadillac Division of General Motors from 1953 to 2002. Competitors included the Lincoln Mark Series and the lower-priced Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Toronado. The Eldorado was at or near the top of the Cadillac line during early model years. The original 1953 Eldorado convertible and the Eldorado Brougham models of 1957-1960 were the most expensive models that Cadillac offered those years, and the Eldorado was never less than second in price after the Cadillac Series 75 until 1966.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer the rarely seen 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Seville Flat Top you see pictured. As the sedan is a flat top, it is much rarer than the two door convertible or hard top. This car appears to have seen a much older restoration. Today, the car would make a great candidate for restoration or would even make a killer rat rod! Finished in Seminole Red with a Dover White Flat Top, the paint is in okay condition and there is minimal shine along with a few imperfections such as scratches & bubbles. As stated previously, this car is not perfect as it is an older restoration and could use some love. Just like any other 1950's classic car, it has plenty of chrome throughout. The chrome has some imperfections and is pitted. All four doors open with ease. The massive fins on the rear of the Cadillac accent the dramatic body lines of the Seville. Overall, the car shows well but is far from perfect.Inside, the interior is wrapped in white vinyl with black cloth inserts. The seats, both front and rear, show no major signs of wear or tear. The black carpet and gray headliner are in good condition, showing no major imperfections or staining. The door panels and dashboard match the interior and look good. The dash does have a few imperfections to the surface. The dashboard houses all of the original gauges along with an AM radio. This Seville is factory equipped with power windows and locks. It also has cruise control.Under the hood, you'll see the massive 390 cubic inch V8 engine attached to an automatic transmission. This car does, in fact, drive well and starts up with ease - this fact alone would make the car an excellent candidate for restoration or to start a new life as a rat rod! You could simply drive it in its current state - it is a '59 Caddy after all!! The car is equipped with power brakes and power steering. The car sits upon a set of 15" wheels with chrome Cadillac hubcaps that are wrapped in L78-15 white walls. As mentioned before, this car is not perfect. It is as described and would make an excellent candidate for restoration or as a Cadillac rat rod! The VIN is 59A084545 and the mileage currently shows 59,908. It is being sold on a clean & clear, mileage exempt Indiana title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
