Rarely Seen! Only Built for 4 Years! Classic British Roadster from California! Lotus 907 4 Cylinder Engine Manual Transmission MotoeXotica Classic Cars is offering a great little British roadster that is rarely seen and is tons of fun to drive. This 1974 Jensen Healey is one of only around 10,000 ever made from 1972 through 1976. It has been with the same Cathedral City, California owner since 2006. The Jensen Healey and Jensen GT were built by Jensen Motors Ltd. of West Bromwich, England from March 1972 until May 1976. In 1974 performance and mechanical specifications remained the same from the previous year but the trim level is upgraded throughout; wood fascia is added to the dash, padded center console, floor carpeting & additional bright work details added to exterior. Round cornered headlight cowl with one-piece front wings most notable "Mark II" feature. This particular Jensen is from the dry state of California where it lived with its first owner for over 26 years and then its second owner for almost 10 years! Finished in a bright yellow, the body and paint are both in great condition and show very well with minimal imperfections. The black soft top is solid and in very good condition showing no stains or rips. The chrome is in excellent condition from the bumpers to the trunk rack and still retains a brilliant shine. Inside, the black interior looks great and compliments the bright yellow exterior wonderfully. The black vinyl seats are in great condition and show no signs of major wear or tear. Same goes for the black carpet. The black dash with wood veneer has no cracks and looks great. The gauges are all original with the exception of the clock. There is an aftermarket Alpine AM/FM/Cassette head-unit installed in the dashboard with an amp in the glove-box. Under the hood, you'll find the powerful, twin overhead cam Lotus 907 4 cylinder engine. It is capable of up to 140 horsepower and has an excellent twin cam sound. The previous owner stated that he replaced the timing belt, rebuilt the carbs, and installed new brakes, hoses and fuel pump all within the last 1500 miles. This engine retains all of the mechanical niceties of its racing engine forebears but gives a wide, usable band of power from tick-over to a peak of 140 BHP at 6500 RPM. The power is transmitted through a manual, all synchromesh gear-box. And torque characteristics are such that the car will pull solidly and smoothly from under 2000 RPM in any gear- unusual flexibility for such exhilarating performance. Add to that a miserly thirst for fuel- around 25 MPG- and you begin to appreciate what a remarkable power plant this Jensen-Healey has. The Jensen sits comfortably upon a set of 13" original alloy wheels wrapped in P185/70R13 tires. This car is equipped with front disc power brakes. Included with the purchase of this Jensen is the Owners Handbook, Shop Manual, literature and some receipts. The VIN is 14446 and the mileage currently shows 92,642. It is being sold on a clean and clear California title. . GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
