Description

The Ford Bronco sat atop a small 92 inch wheelbase which made it suitable for off-road excursions. Its body, frame and suspension were all new and did not share with any other vehicles. The brakes and axles were courtesy of the Ford F-100 trucks. The rear suspension had leaf springs in a Hotchkiss design. Coil springs were used which gave the Bronco an anti-dive geometry which came in handy during snowplowing. The front axle was connected by leading arms and a lateral track bar. A heavy duty suspension was available, but at an additional cost. The design was simple with flat glass, no-frills bumpers, and a square body. The $2194 base price included front bucket seats and a rear bench seat. An auxiliary gas tank, snowplow, winch, tow bar, posthole digger, campers, overdrive units, and an array of tires and wheels were also available. For model-year 1974 production was 18,786. Subsequent years would see further declines. Then, too, there was very few things that were new with this year's Bronco. The automatic transmission quadrant was now lighted, the six and optional 4.11 final-drive gear were no longer available in California, where emissions standards were stringent and the J-shifter was the only setup, even with the manual transmission.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the handsome 1974 Ford Bronco you see pictured. This particular Bronco has received a tasteful cosmetic restoration and it looks incredible. The truck has benefited from a recent orange paint job that looks great and was done over a very solid body. The white hardtop does lift off and fits on the truck tight. The glass is all in very good condition with no cracks or major chips in any of the windows.Inside, the front bucket seats and rear bench seat have been reupholstered with black vinyl and all look great with no major wear to any of them. The door panels are two tone to match the exterior of the truck with black vinyl arm rests that look great. Under the floor mats, you can see the solidness of the orange color matched floor that shows no holes. The matching orange dashboard houses the original gauges but also has an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player head unit. With a 302 cubic inch engine under the hood and available four wheel drive, this Bronco will easily do some off-roading with its 15" alloy wheels wrapped in newer 31x10.50R15LT BF Goodrich tires. Power steering is also included with this beautiful truck. This is a very nice truck that still has a ton of life left in it. These Broncos are becoming increasingly hard to find in this solid state. Current mileage shows 24,157 and the VIN number is U15GLT22312. The truck is being sold on a clean & clear Missouri title.
