Description

The Mercedes-Benz SL is a grand tourer manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German Sport Leicht, or Sport Lightweight - and was first applied to the 300SL 'Gullwing' named also after its gullwing or upward-opening doors. When the first 350s were exported to the US, because of the strict horsepower robbing emission requirements, the US 350s were shipped with low compression 4.5 liter engines.MotoeXotica is proud to offer this beautiful 1972 Mercedes Benz 350SL Convertible. This SL has withstood the test of time and remained in beautiful condition. The deep brown paint on the car is in excellent condition, still shines like the first day it hit the streets and has no notable imperfections. This car comes with both a hard top and a soft top for those days where a roof just isn't necessary. Both are in great condition. This beautiful Mercedes comes equipped with AC, defrost, power brakes, power steering and power locks.Under the hood, you will find the low compression 4.5L V8, which came with the '72 350's instead of the 3.5L V8, due to strict emission requirements.
