While the Mercury Marauder occupied the performance end of the Mercury showroom, the Park Lane was the luxury version. With the same potent powerplants and every power and convenience item in the book, this lovely Park Lane convertible was far more luxurious than any Ford, and a lot faster than anything from Lincoln. Only 2546 were built in 1966, which makes it a lot rarer than any of its corporate cousins, too. This particular '66 Mercury Parklane was originally purchased from Mrazik-Wagner Mercury on January 3, 1966. We have the original dealer invoice for the car as well as the original Dealer Statement of Tax Payment. The car has benefitted from an older restoration that still shows well today. This car has been with the same owner since 1991!The car was repainted during the restoration in its original color of black which still looks great today. There are a few minor nicks and dings to the body but nothing major. The power soft top was also replaced during the restoration and still looks great. Both front and rear bumpers are in very good condition and have no notable damage or pitting. Inside, the seats have been professionally reupholstered as well as the door panels. All of which look great and show little to no wear. The carpet is new as well and is equally as nice with no notable wear. The car has had seatbelts installed. The dash is solid and all gauges are in good working order. The car does have power windows that work with no problems. Under the hood, the 410 Cu In V8 runs great and is connected to the C-6 automatic transmission. The engine compartment has been nicely detailed and looks as it did when the car was new. The car does have power steering and power brakes. The car has a wonderful set of aftermarket wheels that set the car off. We don't have the original wheels unfortunately. The trunk is solid and has the original style bias ply spare included. The steel wheels are wrapped with Kelly radial tires. The car currently shows 16,649 miles and the VIN number is 6W65M528176.
