Description

The Dart and its sister model-the Plymouth Valiant-were substantially redesigned for the 1967 model year. In addition to new styling, the cars received revised steering systems, wider front track and frame rail spacing, and redesigned K-members capable of accepting larger engines. The Dart would keep this basic form, with facelifts consisting of revised front and rear end styling and interior trim, until the end of A-body production in 1976.The restyled Dart for 1967 featured a rear window with compound inverse curves. This created a unique appearance at the rear of the greenhouse, but tended to collect snow and created thick C-pillars that looked formal but created blind spots for drivers. Curved side glass was used for the first time on a Chrysler compact. Up front, there was a new dual-plane front end contour: the center section of the grille, bumper and leading edge of the hood were recessed from the front plane of the car. The single headlamps were placed forward of the recessed center section, defining the front plane. Park/turn lamps were set into the grille, in the corners formed by the transition area between the recessed and forward sections. This same front end treatment, with minor cosmetic changes to the grille and the park/turn lamps relocated to the front bumper, was also used by Chrysler Australia for their 1967 VE-model Valiant. This nicely restored '67 Dart GT Convertible is a very nice example that comes with correct factory A/C that blows ice cold, rally wheels, completely rebuilt suspension and best of all, it's been in California nearly its entire life! This is a wonderful driving convertible that gets over 20 mpg with the top down or A/C on! The paint on the car is in good overall condition with only a few minor spots of touch up showing. It is a lacquer paint job and there are some minor imperfections showing to the passenger side door. Both front and rear bumpers have been rechromed and look great with on damage showing. The stainless trim and mirrors appear to be original for the car and do show some minor pitting and scratches. Nothing uncommon for the age. The white power soft top goes up and down with no issues and does have a glass back window. Inside, the interior appears to be nearly all new and in great condition. The seats have been recovered in white vinyl which looks nearly perfect. The black carpet is also new and looks great. Door panels, dash, steering wheel and chrome all look equally as nice inside. This is an A/C car that has the correct in-dash controls. The front seat does have seat belts. Under the hood, the correct 225 inline 6 cylinder runs great and is very smooth. Connected to the automatic transmission, the car is a joy to drive and handles great on the street. The engine compartment is very clean and shows no signs of damage. It's been nicely detailed with many new parts. The entire suspension has been rebuilt with new bushings, shocks and springs. With the car comes thousands of dollars in receipts for the work done along with original manuals. The rally wheels are all in great condition and are wrapped with new 245/70 radial tires. The underside is solid and shows no undercoating. This shows the original metal and that it's truly a California car. The current mileage shows 59,247 and the VIN number is LP27B72338029. The car is being sold on a clean California title.
