Description

Motoexotica is offering another amazing complete custom hot rod. This '37 Ford Phaeton has the looks of a '40 Ford but is titled as a 1937. This is a California car that has been in the state for most of its life and with the previous owner since 1999. The attention to detail on this car is superior in all aspects. From the fit and finish to show quality paint and interior. The engine bay and underside are highly detailed with details like the stainless exhaust and custom stainless steel gas tank. The all steel body is in great condition and has had an incredible custom flame job painted on it that goes the length of the car. The underside has been painted to match the flames as well as the engine compartment. There was nothing left untouched during the build of this car. The car does have an air ride suspension that brings the car up and down a few inches. The custom white pearl paint looks great and has been professionally flamed from front to back which looks stunning. This is an all steel bodied car. The top is a removable Carson cloth hard top that comes on and off with no problems and looks great. The windshield has been chopped and the car has had all emblems, handles, antennas and lights shaved or frenched. The hood and trunk are both operated by switches inside the car and go up and down with a flick of the switch. The reverse opening hood is a great touch as well as the suicide doors. The bumpers have been replaced with chrome steel tubing that contours to the body lines and front grill. Another great detail to the car. Inside, the flamed theme continues with the custom door panels and arm rests. The vinyl / tweed seats are power up front and are in great condition and are both power. The rear seats are custom buckets and finished in the same material and quality as the front seats. The dash has been painted the same color as the exterior and has an aluminum inset for the gauge cluster. Gauges include Fuel, volts, oil pressure and water temperature. Under the dash you will find all of you controls for the air rid suspension, hood and trunk controls, door latches, AM/FM stereo and light switches. The custom tilt column Under the hood, you will find an engine compartment that has had the same amount of detail put into it that the rest of the car has. The 350 Cu In V8 has been finished in the matching colors as the flames and underside which looks great. The car starts with a turn of the key and runs great. The transmission shifts as it should. The front end is a Mustang II disc brake set up with Flaming River rack and pinion steering. As you can see in the photos, the underside has been painted to match the flames and is very solid. The air ride gives the car a smooth ride and the option to bring the car up and down a few inches for a great look. The current mileage shows 166 which is said to be since the completion of the build. VIN number is 54238030 and the car is being sold on a clean California title. The car is titled as a 1937 Ford.
