In 1955, all Chrysler cars were completely restyled with styling by Virgil Exner. The Windsor's were more rounded and had wrap around windshields. The word DeLuxe was added to Windsor again. Front head room was 35 inches. Rear axle ratio for the 3-speed manual was 3.73 and it made up 64.72% of Chryslers sales. The automatic's are the more desirable transmissions now with few remaining. All of the chrome on the car appears to have been rechromed and is in near perfect condition. The same goes for all of the stainless around the car. Inside, the interior is finished in the correct gray and white and is in great condition. The carpet is new as well as the seats which have been recovered. Headliner, door panels and kick panels all appear to be new as well. The car still retains its original AM radio. The front bench seat is power and operates as it should. Under the hood you will find a well detailed 301 Cu In V8 connected to the "PowerFlight" automatic transmission. The motor starts right up and goes down the road wonderfully. This is said to be an original mileage car that is currently showing 59,957. The engine compartment is nicely finished and looks nearly as good as the day it came off of the showroom floor. The trunk has been nicely carpeted and looks great. There have been 4 new chrome wire wheels installed and are wrapped with new radial tires. VIN number is W5571732 and the current mileage shows 59,957 which is said to be original for the car. Included with the car is the original Chrysler owners manual.
