Description

The Pininfarina-styled 308 GTB was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a supplement to the Bertone-shaped Dino 308 GT4 and a replacement for the Dino 246. It was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti who had been responsible for some of Ferrari's most celebrated shapes to date such as the Daytona, the Dino and the Berlinetta Boxer. The 308 used elements of these shapes to create something very much in contrast with the angular GT4 2+2. The GTB/GTS was a 2-seater with sweeping curves and aggressive lines, and has become one of the more recognizable and iconic cars produced by Ferrari to date. The car you see here is a 1982 308GTSi that has just recently received a new clutch kit and has had the timing belt changed recently as well. This is a wonderful driving car that has never been in any accidents or seen any damage. Originally purchased in Florida, it stayed there until 1998 when it went up to the northeast for 4 years. It was then brought to Oklahoma where it has been since. The paint on the car is in excellent condition and shows no notable imperfections. The front and rear bumpers are free of any damage or scrapes. This is a targa top car that seals as it should with no evidence of water leaking. The top stows nicely behind the seats. All of the glass is in good condition with no cracks or chips and the rubber is original for the car and in good condition. Inside, the tan leather seats are in very good overall condition with no cracking or splits to be found. The same goes for the dash and center console. The headrests have been embroidered with the prancing horse Ferrari logo. Door panels, carpet and arm rests are all in great condition with only minimal wear showing. The original radio has been replaced with an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player. All gauges are in good working order as well as the lights, blinkers, horn and wipers. Under the hood, the famous Ferrari V8 starts with ease and runs perfectly. These are wonderfully balanced cars that sound as good as they look. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts as it should with its new clutch kit just installed. The wheels are in good condition with only minimal curb rash showing. They are wrapped with Michelin radials that have good tread life all around. Mileage currently shows 40,317 which is believed to be actual for the car and the VIN number is ZFFAA02A5C0038661. The car is being sold on a clean Oklahoma title.
