The GTV chassis started life in 1963 with the Giulia Sprint GT, which delivered 92 hp from a 1,570cc engine. It later turned into the Sprint GT "Veloce" (GTV) in 1965. Two years after that, Alfa released the GTV 1750 with a 1,779cc engine sporting a heftier 122 hp. With just 2,260 pounds to haul, the GTV was a true sports car in its day. Zero to 60 mph times under 9 seconds and a 120-plus top speed proved this, as did disc brakes at all four corners. High performance, combined with such special styling, made the GTV 2000 an instant classic, and the fact that it was only sold Stateside from 1973 to '74 makes it a rare find. This particular 1974 Alpha Romeo GTV 2000 has been refinished in beautiful dark wine metallic with no major imperfections to speak of outside. All the chrome and metal accents are in good condition with minimal pitting and scratches. The same goes for the rims and tires. The tires have about 85% tread life left.Inside the black Vinyl interior appears to be original with no major wear. The same goes for the carpets, door panels, dashboard and headliner. The dash does show some minor cracking as you can see in the photos. The wood wheel is solid with no damage. Under the hood the vehicle retains 1.8-liter engine attached to a 5-speed transmission that shifts smoothly with no problems. All mechanical aspects are working at this time. Additional options include power brakes and A/C. Inside the trunk the vehicle still retain what appears to be the original spare and tools. The trunk floor is clean and solid along with the underside. There is no rust or rot to speak of.The VIN is AR3025777 and is being sold on a clean title. Mileage shows 97,691 and is said to be actual for the car.
