The International C-1 was a 1/2 ton truck built by the International Harvester Company at the Springfield, Ohio plant between 1934 and 1937. The C-1 was an all-new 1/2-ton built by International, replacing the Willys-built D-1. The attractive styling of the C-1 rivaled some of the best passenger cars of the day. The 213ci L-head six engine in the C-1 was essentially an International redesign of the Willys engine in the D-1, International having purchased the patent rights and tooling from Willys-Overland. The truck you see here went through a complete body off restoration in 1985 at a cost of nearly $30,000. By looking at the truck its hard to believe it was done in 2005, much less 1985. The condition is nearly perfect and shows that it only has a bit over 100 miles since the complete restoration. Finished in burgundy with black fenders, the paint looks nearly perfect with no notable imperfections. The stainless front bumper shows no damage, the same goes for the grill which looks new. The bed appears to have never been used to haul and shows that this has always been a show truck, not a work truck. The cab is solid throughout with no bubbling. The single side mount on the passenger side is a great touch and really sets the look of the truck off. Inside, the bench seat has been recovered in gray vinyl with no wear showing. The inside of the cab has been painted to match the exterior and looks great. The gauges are the original style and all work with no issues. All exterior lights work as they should. Under the hood, the inline 6 cylinder runs great and very smooth. Connected to the three speed manual transmission, the truck drives great and has no issues on the road. The wheels are body colored wires around mini moon stainless hubcaps. The underside is virtually new as is the top and is solid throughout. VIN number is 366521NT and the current mileage shows 175. Mileage is said to be since the restoration.
