This particular Cadillac is a very special one as it was found in an old barn in its current state - COMPLETELY original! One of only 5,513 produced in 1939, the car is finished in the original green paint with gray interior. With a 346ci Monobloc V8 under the hood and three speed manual transmission, the car is a joy to drive!The paint on the car is actually in pretty awesome shape, considering 75 years passing by outside its hiding place in the old barn. There is a little bit of crazing and fade to the paint, but overall, the paint shows EXTREMELY well! The body itself is in beautiful condition and is very straight. All doors shut tight and have good lines all around them. The bright work on the car is in good condition but there is some pitting in places as it is original. Inside, the car's gray interior looks to be original. Both the front and back seats are in wonderful condition. The black carpet is in great shape, as are the gray door panels and headliner. All of the wood and bright work is in good condition inside with no cracking or discoloration that we have found. The dash houses a clock and a set of original gauges, with the minor addition of an aftermarket temperature gauge so that you may ensure that your Cadillac is always running cool. It should be noted that the windshield wipers, horn and fuel gauge are inoperable at this time.Cadillac had settled on the 346 cubic inch version of the Monobloc V-8 for all its eight cylinder models except LaSalle beginning in 1937. Rated at 135 horsepower at 3400 rpm, the 346 had five more horses than the 1935 V8 and 10 more than the one-year-only 322 cubic inch Monobloc. The engine sits in a tidy engine bay and looks as good as it runs. Mated to the V8 is a "three on the tree" manual transmission. The car starts up and runs great with no issues that we have found. The Cadillac sits elegantly on a set of 16" green painted steel wheels with Cadillac hubcaps. The wheels are wrapped in a set of 7.00-16 white wall tires that really set off the original, classic look of this beauty.
