A major facelift with new grille and taillights and revised rear design highlighted the 1960 Oldsmobile's. The larger 315 hp 394 cubic-inch Rocket V8 continued as standard power for Super 88 models. Dynamic 88s continued with the 371 cubic-inch Rocket V8 that was detuned to 240 hp thanks to a lower compression ratio that permitted the use of lower-priced regular gasoline. Other changes included a revised instrument panel and a slimmer transmission tunnel for improved interior space.The car you see here is a true, documented, three owner 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 four door "flat top". We have records from when the car was new all the way up until the previous owner had the car worked on. This car stayed with the same family in Colorado until their death in the early 90's. It was then purchased by the second owner from the estate in 1992. They kept the car until 1996 when the last owner purchased it, still in Colorado. This is said to be a 60,000 original mile car. In 1994 the motor went through a complete rebuild and the odometer was reset to zero. At that time the car had 45,163 original miles. The odometer now shows 14,850 miles which is since the rebuild. The car comes finished in its original colors of Ebony black with gray interior. The paint on the car is in great condition and has been resprayed in the last few years. There has been custom pin striping applied that really sets the car off and looks great. Both front and rear chrome bumpers are in good condition with no major pitting, scratches or damage. The grill and stainless trim pieces are equally as nice. Inside the interior is still finished in the correct gray pattern and looks great. The vinyl seats appear to be original but the inserts have been replaced as well as the carpet. The dash, door panels and headliner all appear to be original and in very good condition with only some minor wear showing. All gauges are in good working order along with the lights, blinkers, horn and wipers. Under the hood the 371 CI engine is attached to an automatic transmission that runs great. During the previous owners ownership with the car, the suspension, transmission and brakes were all rebuilt or replaced. The engine is very clean and shows no damage. Inside the trunk, the vehicle still retains the original jack, spare and lug wrench that are included with the sale. The steel wheels are wrapped with new white wall radials that look great and make the car very smooth going down the road.
