Description

The 1930's marked important changes in the automotive industry and important changes to Ford. Now past the Model T and Model A, Ford competed rather well with Chevy for the sales lead. New styling, a new engine, and changes overall to ride and appearance made these Fords quite popular. The look was updated with a new grill, and now a number of new body styles. The Phaeton was a popular body, especially for those who still liked to ride with the wind in their face. Ford made continued changes throughout the 1930's, but these earlier models marked a directional change for Ford that helped lead the company to the leadership position it enjoyed for many years. This particular 1936 Ford Four Door Convertible has just been made available to the public for the first time from a prominent museum collection in California. The restoration, although older has been done to extremely high standards. The exquisite Maroon paint is in excellent condition through out with no imperfections that we have seen. The chrome and all accents are in near perfect condition. The addition of the Pines Grill trim really sets the car off and looks great.Inside the beautifully kept Buck Skin interior appears to have no seen imperfections, same goes for the carpets, door panels and dash. The convertible top is also in newer condition and goes down with ease. Under the hood the vehicle retains the famous flathead V8 engine attached to a 3 speed manual transmission. This vehicle runs and drives beautifully with no known issues at this time. The VIN is 2871556 and is being sold on a clean California title where the car has been for the majority of its life. Bid with confidence, seldom does a vehicle of this stature become available to the public.
