Description

The LTD was redesigned for 1973. While the new LTD weighed less than earlier models, it was still far in excess of two tons, meaning that agility and fuel economy were both weak points. The base engine was the 302 CID V8. The next largest engine was Ford's 351 CID V8, which was the most common choice. Still larger was Ford's 400 CID V8, which this car has. Despite these difficulties, the full-sized Fords remained strong sellers each year during this period, due to their high comfort, good build quality and reasonable cost. This particular 1973 LTD Brougham is one of the cleanest we have had the opportunity to make available to the public. The car has been in one family until early in 2010. The father purchased the car new and when he passed he willed it to his daughter. After realizing the car was too large for her, she then sold it to the owner we purchased the car from. The gentleman we recently purchased the car from went through it and replaced all of the brakes, gas tank and tires. The Jet Black paint is nearly perfect with all chrome and trim original and in near show quality standards. The car has gone through one repaint many years ago but still looks great. A rare option on this car is the port hole windows in the rear. These were not standard on these cars but often put on by the dealers as this one was. The beautiful Black interior is also in excellent condition with no wear showing and is nearly flawless. This vehicle is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows and rare and desired A/C which blows cool, just not ice cold. The vehicle has been upgraded with a after market radio so you can have the pleasure of FM radio with CD. The radio is mounted to a base under the dash.Under the hood this vehicle boasts the optional 400 CI engine that has only traveled 78,000 pampered miles with all mechanical aspects working as they should. In the trunk this vehicle comes with a full size spare, which has never been on the ground, lug wrench and jack. The undercarriage is clean and solid with no rot that we have seen. The car spent almost its entire life in the south before it was brought up here to St. Louis in 2010. The VIN number is 3E68S2210644 and this vehicle is being sold on a clean Missouri title. Bid with confidence, you will not be disappointed in this rare find.
