The Chevrolet Suburban is the longest-lived continuous automobile nameplate still in production, dating back to 1935. The Suburban has been produced under the Chevrolet, Holden, and GMC marquees until the GMC version was rebranded as the GMC Yukon XL. For most of its history, the Suburban has been a station wagon-bodied version of the Chevrolet pickup truck, including the Chevrolet C/K and Silverado series of truck-based vehicles. The second generation C/K Suburbans are easily recognized by having only a single drivers side door and two passenger-side doors. They were available in both 2WD and 4WD models. Engines included the V6 (Chevrolet 292-cubic-inch I6, and GMC 305 cubic inch V-6), and small-block V-8s of the current model year (283, 307, 327, 350, 400-cubic-inch V-8s.).This particular 1970 Chevrolet Suburban is a 102,000 mile, original truck that comes loaded with options like power steering, power brakes and A/C. With the 350 Cu In V8 under the hood connected to the Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, the truck is a joy to drive. We've had this truck on the road around 50 miles with no issues. The previous owner used this truck to pull his small vintage aluminum camper which it pulled with no problems. The paint is newer on the truck and is in very good condition. The two tone orange and white looks great and shows no bubbling that we have found to the body. There is some rust showing inside the rear door. Both front and rear chrome bumpers are in great condition and have a great shine and luster with no damage showing. All of the glass is in good condition with no cracking or chips. Inside, the seats are all in very good condition with no major wear to be found. The entire interior has been reupholstered black and looks great. The carpet is also new and in very good condition. This truck does have the optional rear air. The blower is currently inoperable on the rear air but the front air blows. It will need a recharge as it currently does not blow cold. The dash has been painted to match the exterior of the truck and looks great. The aftermarket AM/FM stereo works with no problems as well as all gauges, lights, blinkers, wipers and horn. Under the hood, the 350 Cu In V8 runs great. With power steering and power brakes the truck drives great with no issues. We recently took the truck on a 50 miles round trip with no issues. Under the hood, the truck is extremely clean and in nice, original condition with no aftermarket add on's. The underside is solid overall with only some minor rot to the rear floors and front body mounts. The frame is solid as well as the wood in the rear. The radial tires are in great condition and are wrapped around original style Chevrolet wheels. The VIN number is CE160F145088 and the current mileage shows 102,821 which is said to be actual for the truck.
