In 1967 the Mustang had seen its first major redesign. The car was bigger and more powerful than ever before. In 1968 newly introduced Federal regulations mandated front and back side markers on the car. This, alone, made it easier to determine a 1967 Mustang from a 1968. Other firsts for the 1968 Mustang included a suspended mirror which was attached to the windshield. In previous years, mirrors were attached to the vehicle frame. The 1968 model also featured the word "Mustang" in script style lettering instead of block letters, and the word "FORD" was removed from the hood of the car. The carpet looks great with no staining, rips or tears. All the lights, blinkers, and wipers work with no issues. There has been an aftermarket tachometer installed that works with no problems. Dash and steering wheel are both solid. The engine is a 289 ci V8 that runs great with its original style 2bbl carb. The engine is nicely detailed and looks great under the hood. The 3 speed manual transmission shifts with no problems and makes this car a blast to drive. Clutch feels strong with no chatter. In the trunk, you will find original style matting along with a full size spare, jack and jack bag. The alloy wheels look good and are in great overall condition. They are wrapped with Firestone Firehawk radial tires that have good tread life left on them. The odometer shows 57,075 and the VIN# is 8F03C115109. Use the car as a daily driver or simply for weekends and cruise nights. Whatever your desire, the car is sure to please.
