Description

Motoexotica is offering another wonderful custom 1959 Chevrolet step side Pick Up. This was a no-expense-spared custom build of an original California truck using high attention to detail and drivability. The pickup is powered by a 454cid big block with a 400 Turbo transmission. A Camaro suspension is used in front and a 9" Ford posi-traction is used in the rear. There are power disc brakes both front and rear, and the powder coated frame is complimented by the use of stainless steel exhaust, fuel tank, brake lines and bed floor. Other options on this truck include leather seating, power windows, power seat, power disc brakes at all four corners, power steering, A/C, keyless entry and much, much more. The paint on the truck is spotless and show quality. Finished in a deep blue with stainless steel bed, the truck is absolutely stunning. The truck has had all emblems and door panels shaved and smoothed to get the truck a clean, streamlined look. This was an original, solid, California truck when the restoration started so little filler was used on the body. This is an all steel body with no fiberglass pieces used. Currently the truck does not have wipers installed, but wiper arms do come with the truck. In the bed, the original wood boards have been replaced by strips of stainless steel that look great. Inside you will an incredible amount of attention to detail and many hidden tricks. Under the bench seat, which is full power, you will find the CD changer along with the stereo controls and a fold out aluminum cup holder. The bench seat nicely upholstered in two tone leather with custom stitched Indian heads on each seat back. The door panels, kick panels and all around the rear of the cab behind the seat are covered with the same, matching two tone leather. The dash has been smoothed and painted with only the gauge cluster and two air vents showing. The controls for the A/C have been placed in a custom leather enclosure on the passenger side of the truck. The custom aluminum control panel just to the right of the steering column holds the key, lights and wiper controls. With a flick of a switch, this entire box neatly lifts up and hidden away under the dash. An incredible touch! The steering wheel is from Budnik and looks great. All of the Moon gauges look great and are in good working.Under the hood you will find a freshly rebuilt big block, 454 that comes with power steering, power disc brakes and A/C. All of these components are neatly tucked away towards the bottom of the motor and under the floors. With headers, chrome alternator, aluminum radiator, chrome Chevrolet valve covers and custom air cleaner, the engine compartment is incredibly clean. The transmission is controlled by a Turbo 400 that makes the truck incredibly nice to drive at highway speeds. The underside of the truck was not left undone on the truck. The entire frame has been powder coated and the bottom of the cab, fenders and box have a protective Line-X coating that matches the frame color. The wheels are from Budnik and are wrapped with new radial tires. If you ever need to get a wheel off, the wheel wrench is stowed nicely behind the seat in its custom leather pocket. This truck needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. We know we have missed things in the description but there is just so much to this incredible custom. The builders had an incredible attention to detail but didn't do the truck over the top so you couldn't drive it. They wanted it to be a drivable show truck and that is what the made. VIN number is DPSMN060027 and the current mileage shows only 1,045. This is the mileage since the build.
