Description

By 1990, Ford resources began to focus on the next Mustang, due to debut in 1994. There would be few changes in the model line through its retirement in 1993. Most changes would be visual. This generation of Ford's popular rear-drive ponycar was more than a decade old, having been introduced for 1979. Mustangs came in coupe and convertible form, accompanied by a 2-door hatchback coupe. All three body styles were available in LX trim with a standard 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine or optional V8 (dubbed LX 5.0L). The high-performance GT was limited to hatchback and convertible bodies and included the V8 engine. A driver-side airbag arrived for 1990, along with rear shoulder belts. This particular car is an 82,000 original mile LX convertible that is in incredible, stock condition. With the exception of a paint job, plugs, wires, radiator and tires the car is completely stock with no major aftermarket, add-on parts. It is very rare to find these cars that haven't had exhaust, pulleys, K&N filter, wheels, etc. installed. Brand new, the car was purchased by a Mustang buyer that buys the newest Mustang every year. He then traded the car back into a Ford dealership for the new 1991 Mustang. This car was then purchased by a school teacher who kept it until 2009. The paint on the car is newer and in very good condition with no major imperfections. Both front and rear bumpers are free of any damage or cracking. The black power top goes up and down the no issues and looks great. The rear window is glass and shows no cracks. Inside, the black leather seats show only minor cracking from age. No splits or holes in any of the seats. The drivers side is obviously the worst as you can see in the picture but overall looks excellent. The carpet, door panels and headliner all look very good with on major imperfections. Dash is solid as well as the steering wheel and arm rests. Under the hood, the 5.0 liter V8 runs great. With new plugs, wires and aluminum 4 core radiator, the car will run all day long in any temperature. The A/C works with on problems and does blow cold. Recently, the oil has been changed with Mobil 1 synthetic and in the year the previous owner had the car, it has never left a drip of oil in the garage. The tires are all newer and wrapped around the pony wheels that all look great. This is a wonderful, 95% stock Mustang that is a blast to drive. It's literally that little old lady driven car that everyone looks for! The current mileage shows only 82,525 which is said to be actual. VIN number is 1FACP44D3LF223128. The car is being sold on a clean Missouri title.
