Description

For 1955, Chevrolet's full-size model received new styling that earned it the "Hot One" designation by enthusiasts. Unlike Ford and Plymouth, Chevrolet's styling was considered crisp and clean. The 1957 Chevy is among the most recognizable American cars of all time; well-maintained examples, especially Sport Coupes and Convertibles are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. They are roomy, fuel-efficient, with tastefully restrained, period use tail fins and chrome. The Two-Ten shared the wedge-shaped side trim with the Bel Air, but unlike the Bel Air (which had the wedge filled with an aluminum trim panel) the Two-Ten's wedge was painted either body color, or top color with the optional two-tone paint package. "Chevrolet" in script was mounted inside the wedge. The green paint on the car is older with a few minor imperfections, none of which are major. All the trim is in great condition with no major dings or nicks. Both front and rear bumpers look great with no pitting, the rear bumper does have a very minor scratch on the right rear corner. The front grill looks great and has a great shine and luster like the bumpers. All the doors shut like they did in 57 with no abnormal door seams or body lines. Inside the cloth seats are in great condition apart from a 6-8 inch tear in the driver front side of the bench seat as you can see in the photos. The door panels and headliner retain the matching two tone green that covers the seats and look great. All gauges are in good working order as well as the wipers, lights, blinkers and horn. The factory wheels are in great condition and are wrapped with P205/70 R14s in the front and rear. All of which have good tread life left on them. The under body is solid overall with only some minor surface rust and a few small areas of rot. The drivers side rear floor support and passenger side front floor support both show rot. Overall the car is in very good driving condition and would be perfect for cruises! Under the hood, the six cylinder runs great and starts up with no problems. The motor is very clean and unmolested with no major modifications ever being done on it. In the trunk, there is the original style rubber trunk matting as well as a full size spare and jack. The VIN number is B57K165789 and the current mileage shows 82,109. The car is being sold on a mileage exempt Kansas title. This is a great driving 57 Chevy that has tons of eye ball and drives down the road with no problems.
