Suddenly it was 1960, and Chrysler/Plymouth was scrambling to produce cars to please the public. The fin craze was suddenly having become passe. The Fury remained Plymouth's sales volume model through the troubled early 1960s, when the full-sized Fury was saddled with odd styling and an intermediate (or mid-sized) platform. In 1963 a new 5 year or 50,000 mile warranty was introduced, along with a new, very clean grille and rear. This particular car is showing only 39,947 ORIGINAL miles! Finished in its original color combination of Medium Metallic Blue with Ermine White top, the paint on the car is all original. The front and rear bench seats both look great with no major rips, tears or wear to be found. The headliner is nearly perfect as well as all four door panels. Dash is solid along with the steering wheel which shows no cracking. Just some very minor wear to the paint. All gauges are in good working order as well as the lights, blinkers, horn and wipers. This car starts up and drives perfectly, it features the famous Slant-6 motor, with a push-button Torqueflite transmission that performs perfectly and shifts smoothly. The car comes with power steering but no power brakes. On the road, the car has plenty of power and saves you on gas with the 225 Cu In 6 cylinder. There are no visible rust or rot areas on this vehicle, it has a very straight body with no repair areas or filler issues. All the chrome on the car is in very good condition, showing little pitting due to age, but still retains its original luster and shine. This car is truly in fantastic condition and needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The tires are good overall but are older bias ply's with the original hubcaps which look great. Underneath, the car is extremely solid with no rot to the floors. The same goes for the trunk which includes a full size spare and jack.
